In the context of theconstruction of“Belt and Road”, Kunming Medical University launched the Golden Bridge International Urology Conference in July 2014 for thepromotion of regionalhealth care.Undertaken by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, the conferencehasbeensuccessfully held sixterms and the Golden Bridge International Urology Union was established. At the same time of the conference, specialized training courses for urologists in South Asia and Southeast Asia have been held with participation of over hundred of urologists fromVietnam, Laos, Myanmar, India, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh,Philippine
Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Egypt,etc.As one of the two institutions which wasawarded the National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Project, theDepartment ofUrological Surgery of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University is a teamleadingin the way of clinical treatment,educationand scientific research withobvious advantagesand high national reputationin the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases, especially in minimal invasive urological surgery.
